Thanks to MJ'S Big Blog for the info. iTunes made a mistake AGAIN and released the sales of the wildcard performers' iTunes tracks. Matt Giraud, Anoop Desai, and Megan Corkrey are way out in front (because Idol's voting and buying audience are frauen, tweens, and crazies), followed by Tranny Alien, Ricky Braddy, Jesse Langseth, Von Smith, and in dead last fabulous Tatiana Del Toro. This certainly bodes well for 3 of the wildcards' survival in this competition. As for Jasmine? No one likes her, even if we have to hear how "commercial" she is every time she farts on stage. The only way we'd like her is if she's the VFTW pick, and even then, she barely has a shot at lasting more than 2 weeks on the show.

Remember how Von Smith made a baby cry when he screamed loud notes? Turns out it's not the screaming. Just the mere act of Von singing causes babies to cry, as seen above. Does this mean Von should be charged with child abuse?

Well, this is a pretty ringing endorsement for Von as one of the VFTW picks. Idol makes us cry too, kid.

Do you really want to watch 2 hours of people sitting in chairs being told yes or no? We encourage you not to, especially since we spoiled the entire top 36 two weeks ago. The View is where Von got his big break in showbiz, and now the harpies on that show are pretending like they don't even know him because they realize how awful he is. This guy is so VFTW, it kills us. There's no way the judges will allow us to vote for him, will they? He's too perfect for this site!

JoesPlace did a top 50 update for today and it looks like Von Smith and Kristen McNamara made it to the top 50. Kristen is the one with the gigantic fake boobs and Von is the queeny guy above. They could both have a lot of VFTW potential, so we'll see what happens.

The Hollywood week just took place for American Idol 8, and we're digging up information as we speak. Thanks to JoesPlace, we have a partial list of contestants who made it to Hollywood. Check out some of the people who made it to at least Hollywood that we may love (or love to hate) this year. If you know anything about these contestants, please let us know and we'll make sure to keep the information anonymous:

• Joanna Pacitti, our least favorite plant, has of course made it to Hollywood. So has stoner Jason Castro's little brother, Michael Castro.
• Anna Kaelin, the daughter of Gaspy's vocal coach, has made it. Hopefully she has a better breathing technique.
• Many past Hollywood rejects made it to Hollywood again this year, including Mishavonna Henson, Michael Bartul, Imari Molifua, Asa Barnes, and Angela Martin (the mom from Chicago with the special needs daughter from last season).
• Storylines from Hollywood contestants we're sure that we'll see: Otto Malone, who auditioned on crutches after being wounded in the National Guard in Afghanistan, and Scott Douglas MacIntyre, a blind contestant.
• Other rumored contestants: Derek Drake (this year's Arizona Idol winner), Felicia Barton, Jakob McKay, Jenesis Samoranos, Kaylee Cohen, Ryan P.A. Johnson, Sarah Rose Flack, Sharon Wilbur, Shelby Swartwood, and Von Smith.
