Group 2 Possible Song Spoilers

Posted by thefunnystone on February 23rd, 2009 at 6:43 PM

JoesPlace has some possible song spoiler clues up from some girl named Rachel, so let's see if this group will be as mind-numbing as the last one. This could turn out to be an incredibly unreliable tween seeking attention, but at least we can get a preview of what Nick/Normund might be singing. If this is true, it could be awesome.

Jasmine - Madonna had a hit with a different song with the same title as the recent hit that Jasmine is singing. (Sounds like she's doing "Take a Bow" by Rihanna)

Nick - This “salty” standard has been featured in film and covered numerous times, most notably in the 80s. ("Puttin on the Ritz" maybe?)

Adam - One singer of each gender has had a version of this wistful ballad reach the Billboard top 10. (We've narrowed it down to "All By Myself", "Without You", and "Open Arms" All boring as shit. Dude, camp it up!)

Matt G - He takes a turn at a contemporary hit. Hopefully, Matt will live to sing another day. ("Viva La Vida" by Coldplay?)

Live Show Tonight

Posted by thefunnystone on February 17th, 2009 at 6:55 AM

The show is apparently live tonight, so that should be fun. Someone from MJ's Big Blog is going to the dress rehearsal, so we might have some song spoilers before the show starts. Nice work, MJ!

Edited: Danny Gokey's song choice is not spoiled yet. We'll keep you updated though.

She's TERRIBLE! We love it! Allison, you could totally be VFTW for us. And since she's in the top 36, this is delicious.

American Idol 8 Top 36 Spoiler - Jessica Furney

Posted by thefunnystone on January 29th, 2009 at 3:25 PM

From what we hear from what seems to be a reliable source, it looks like Jessica Furney is in the top 36. We're OK with that, she doesn't seem planty at all and you can't knock a girl for trying. We'll see how this pans out soon enough. If you know anything else about the top 36, please send us an e-mail, anonymity guaranteed.

Edited To Add: This doesn't jive with our other list, so it might be wrong. We've gone back and forth on this one, huh? But we're starting to think Jessica's out again.

JoesPlace Top 36 Update 1/29

Posted by thefunnystone on January 29th, 2009 at 5:45 AM

JoesPlace has updated her top 36 list to include Kendall Beard, Felicia Barton, and Adam Lambert, as well as the previously spoiled Lil Rounds. JP is more reliable than the list we got via e-mail of course, so we'll say she's probably right. Felicia Barton is on this list, while she's not on the other one.

Edit: And just after we post this, we're now sure Felicia is not on the list. She's not in the top 36. Probably so some plant like Joanna could be.

A list of the top 36 was just sent to us via e-mail. How reliable is this list? It looks like it! We've talked to JoesPlace and done some more research and we're all pretty sure this is right. Thanks to JP for helping us out with this, we make a good team. So here you go, without further ado, more likely than not, your top 36 (click read more for the list). That's a pretty big spoiler! (Updated 2/4/09)

American Idol 8 - Top 50 Spoiler - Leneshe Young

Posted by thefunnystone on January 28th, 2009 at 3:13 PM

According to JoesPlace, Leneshe Young is in the top 50. She's the one that the judges loved for being "current" when she sang her original song "Natty" about how she likes "thuggish guys." She seemed fun, so we won't complain yet.
