In a stupid movie, Idol has apparently decided to renew Kara DioGuardi's contract for another year and keep her as a judge on Idol. Oh well, she's an easy target, so at least she'll be fun to mock for another year to come. Simon Cowell spilled the beans on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and also said he wants Adam Lambert to win. This is why Worsters want Danny Gokey to win. (Video via MJ's Big Blog)
From MJ's Big Blog, here is a video of Simon Cowell on Good Day LA. Fast forward to 4 minutes in. Simon says that the save was used this week because he figured the following week, the last week it could be used, Anoop would be the one with the least votes. He says he would not have wanted to save Anoop. Since Simon banks on being prescient each week, look for Anoop to be one of the 2 sent home next week. If we can get Lil past Matt, Kris, or Allison in the votes, our girl might stick around. But it's going to be incredibly, incredibly difficult.
Randy, Simon, and Ryan were on Jay Leno last night and they basically stated that Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, and Lil Rounds would be the final 3. Boring and predictable. Though at least if Adam keeps camping it up, that'll keep it watchable. So now we know who Simon and Randy will use the judges' save on (as if we didn't know already).
Simon Cowell admits that last week's show sucked ass to USA Today, but something else in the article is stranger. The article says, "In next Thursday's wild-card round, the judges bring back eight or nine singers — not necessarily just from the semifinals — and pick three to round out the Top 12." So we have to listen to more rejects come back? Well hey... this could be a good thing! In season 2 when Idol tried this terrible experiment, every person that they brought back that hadn't made the semifinals was awful, culminating in VFTW victory Carmen Rasmusen making it into the top 12. So hey, maybe we'll get some crap that's even worse than we'd expected in the top 12. Amen to that and let's hope so!
Simon Cowell's shrill harpy of a girlfriend, Terri Seymour, has finally gotten sick of him and dumped him. Apparently, Terri phoned up Simon to tell him the news. Rumor has it that she wanted to get married and have kids, he didn't, and eventually it wasn't going to work out. Simon Cowell's represntative denies that there was anyone else involved in the break-up, but we have a feeling a mirror and ridiculously amounts of masturbation may be the straw that broke the horse-faced woman's back.
American Idol season one third place finisher Nikki McKibbin tells US Magazine that Simon Cowell led her down the road to drugs and drinking. Nikki says, "I came out of Idol with a lack of self-confidence... I had never been told I wasn't good enough. Having to hear it for so many weeks from Simon Cowell killed me inside. I couldn't get the s--t he had said to me out of my head." While Simon is a jerk, and American Idol is a terrible show that only exists to embarrass people for ratings, why do so many fragile people try out before realizing that a singing star's life opens them up to immense criticism? Duh.
One of the AI backup singers explained why Simon criticized Kara for slamming Kris's performance last night. In a Twitter feed:
Yep, only Simon actually showed up. Paula was drunk, so she has an excuse. And Randy's opinion means nothing. But Kara not showing up shows how irrelevant she actually is. (News via MJ's)
