Blake Lewis
Holy shit.
Pocket Tool makes no sense after being embarrassed publicly for being a... pocket tool. "I wasn't dropped... my contract was done with them and they didn't option me for another record." Dude, that's the same thing. This website doesn't vote for the worst. We just pick up the phone and dial for the people that may not be the best. *slaps forehead*
We hear Blake Lewis was dropped by his record label, Arista Records. Who didn't see that one coming? Too bad, not so sad. Maybe his "brutal honesty" will work better at his next job working the register at Burger King. Sanjaya Victory!

Not funny. Not smart. Just pathetic and disappointing. Like Blake Lewis's album sales.

Vote for the Worst Album Review - Blake Lewis: Audio Day Dream (ADD)
Posted by thefunnystone on December 5, 2007 - 11:05am
Blake Lewis wants us all to get ADD, his semi-clever abbreviation for his debut album Audio Day Dream. After reviewing Jordin’s album, I was expecting more of the same post-Idol crap. What I found though was a surprisingly consistent and listenable album that is actually much better than the typical contestant fare. That’s not to say the album doesn’t have its problems (we’ll get to those in a bit), but overall, Blake may be the first finalist in the history of the show to actually produce an album that actually flows like a real album.
During his time on Idol, Blake made no apologies for being an 80’s kid. He beatboxed, he synthesized, and he put on his best Cure impression week after week. It seemed that his strengths were his live performance abilities, as his vocal talents are lacking, but he put on a hell of show with varying results. So I approached the album with trepidation, wondering if the one-man show could translate to record. Fortunately, it usually does. Blake’s beatboxing is woven in and out of tracks in a pretty decent fashion. And his interludes between tracks, while sometimes annoying, are varied enough that they’re palatable.
VFTW started off with a bang during season 6 of American Idol when we selected Antonella Barba and Sundance Head as our first two picks. Almost immediately, racy pictures of Antonella surfaced, causing a public outcry and a flood of support. Eventually, pictures appeared with an Antonella lookalike performing oral sex, and VFTW was the first website to prove that these pictures were without a doubt fake. After lasting 3 weeks longer than anyone expected, our porcelain princess and the big guy were voted out. We then selected Sanjaya Malakar as our pick, and what a whirlwind that caused!
The Top 10 Best VFTW Performances of American Idol 6
Posted by thefunnystone on May 24, 2007 - 11:25amAmerican Idol 6 was the weirdest season yet, mostly because it was so boring. But some performances stood out as VFTW classics. Here is the list that was compiled by VFTW members that highlights our 10 favorite performances of the year. Some were great for their bad singing, some were great for their eccentricities, and some were great for one word only: Sanjaya.
10. Cheek to Cheek - Sanjaya Malakar
The favorite VFTW contestant of the year made a splash with his big band night performance when he came out dressed in an all white suit and slicked back hair. Afterwards, Simon mockingly called the performance "brilliant," to which Sanjaya shouted, "Welcome to the Universe of Sanjaya!" We loved it!
