There's a new online Idol-like competition called... Online Idol (we're sure Idol will try to sue them soon and they'll be forced to change the name. Idol sucks like that). But it's judged by some cool people: season 8 contestants Alex Wagner-Trugman, Felicia Barton, and Brent Keith. Alex has an awesome sense of humor, Brent seems like he was a lot more fun than we gave him credit for, and Felicia is one of the people on Idol who actually could outsing the entire top 12 without even trying. So what we need for this competition is a VFTW ringer who goes into the competition, does poorly every week, and we vote for them anyway to stick around until they win. Does this sound like something you'd like to do? Sign up and let us know! Auditions are being accepted until the end of June.
VFTW contestant Alex Wagner-Trugman wanders the Third Street Promenade with an MTV film crew to see if anyone remembers him from his stint on Idol. Alex also mentions in the article that he's taking comedy lessons after the recommendation of Nick Mitchell. Perfect! We love this guy, too funny.
Honestly, can you blame them? American Idol threw many people under the bus this year, almost double the normal amount of cannon fodder. The contestants who were cast aside by the Idol machine twittered about this season's finale:
Got tickets for Wicked on Wednesday. I'm told this might change my career goals. We'll see

@brentkeith well, the life of a witch feels too full of drama and
makeup and high pitched shrieking. So let's say... Um... Neither. A
wizard

The best part is, they're right. Seriously, Adam's high pitched shrieking was what the show wanted this year? We welcome all cast aside contestants into the Worster fold, of course. You guys know first hand how dirty Idol is, and it must suck to be on the receiving end of that crap.
Come on, let's end the semifinals with a bang! We know it's almost impossible to get a "worst" in the top 3 vote getters, but let's try for Alex's sake. We'll have a lot better of a chance next week. But this week, it was close between Nathaniel and Alex. We let the Worsters vote and they chose Alex out of the 2. But we'd be happy if either get through. As a group, we'll be voting for Alex big time. So nerds of the world unite and grab your phones and pocket protectors to get Alex through!
A list of the top 36 was just sent to us via e-mail. How reliable is this list? It looks like it! We've talked to JoesPlace and done some more research and we're all pretty sure this is right. Thanks to JP for helping us out with this, we make a good team. So here you go, without further ado, more likely than not, your top 36 (click read more for the list). That's a pretty big spoiler!
