How do I get a custom subnic like the cool kids?

VFTW kindly accepts donations in exchange for a custom subnic. This place is expensive to run because it's so popular, so if you help us out with a little green, we'll reward you with your very own subnic that no one else can have. This is completely voluntary, but it does make you cool, and we do appreciate the help.

I want to start a thread. How do I know whether to post in a thread that already exists or to start a new one?

Usually, posting in a thread that already exists is a smart idea. In addition to the regular rules, the CI5 forum has a few extras. Each contestant is allowed to have ONE thread only for all discussion. There will be a gigantic number of contestants, so this will keep things sane. The only exception is for any VFTW pick. Once we've selected someone as the VFTW pick, you can start multiple threads about them for the season, but they must be original and interesting. "The Kellie Pickler Stupid Sayings Thread" is something new. "I Hate Kellie", "Kellie is hot", or "Why did Kellie sing that song?" are stupid and will be locked. Thread locking is up to the moderators. So remember, if we don't find your thread on the VFTW pick to be worthwhile, we're locking it.

I want to make photochops. Where should I post them?

We have a photochop thread, feel free to post them there or in the thread that the photochop refers to (feel free to put pictures of Ace's head on a donkey's body in the Ace thread). The only photochops that deserve their own thread are masterpieces like TheKatieDidIt's "Trailer Park Tips from Kellie Pickler." And we'll let you know if your work has reached that level.

I want to share my website. Can I do that?

Only if it's Canadian Idol or VFTW related and on topic with a discussion.

Good: Sharing a link to your site with pictures of Craig Sharpe in the Craig thread. Once. Not twice.

Bad: Posting a new topic with your website. Then doing it again when it's locked. Then crying about it like a little baby when you get banned.

No, it shouldn't. We don't care what the rules are on the other boards. If it's not against the rules here, live with it. Obviously you don't care about the other board either, because you're spending your time here, proving that we are of course the superior message board.

The General Chat forum is for off topic chatting. These threads are for Idol only. If your posts get way off track, we're just going to delete them. Learn to love it and get used to it.

That's how I feel when people use the damned yellow font color. I use the "conundrum" (white) background skin and I can't read anything yellow at all.
