Quote: Scutigera coleoptrata is an insectivore; it kills and eats arthropods such as insects and arachnids.
I'm thinking this species needs to be cultivated toward gargantuanism in order to combat the giant spiders that will ultimately take over earth.
Or not. It is Halloween after all. |

Daughter went to party last night and they had a ragdoll cat. Don't know if you've ever heard of them. Different temperament from a regular cat. Went to see some and almost got one today but it was gonna be HER cat and she needed to think about it.
Some info on them. They are expensive! 300.00 and up! Cute as hell, but I think too expensive.
Quote: What type of personality does a Ragdoll cat have?
When many people think of cats, they often characterize them as being highly independent in nature, and not very social.
The ragdoll cat does not fit this description at all, and is not your typical cat breed!
They usually have a very calm and easygoing personality. The agreeable ragdoll makes a great companion for someone looking to have a pet that is gentle, adaptable, and mellow. It is a very social creature, often following their owners around, enjoying the company that their owner has to offer. They also do not shed as much. Sometimes call "puppy cats". They will let you hold them and often go limp in your arms hence the term ragdoll. Soft fur like a rabbit.

My cat is pretty much like that, and she's just a regular old (free) barn cat. Maybe I got a broken one |

The SayNo's got a new family member!!! Ador-a-ble little Pomeranian male 8 weeks old. Weighs 1 lb 8 oz. Named Baby Bear or Baby or Bear w/e because he looks like a little bear. Sooooooooooooooo cute. Don't get him until next weekend. Here is one picture and not a good one. Will post a better one when I get him. Love this puppy < 3333

Awww on the puppy.
That second cat pic looks like a Himalayan.
And please don't be offended, I'm not trying to be too preachy, but rescue animals are the way to go. |

My husband and I have had rescue animals for almost as long as we've been married- 26 years. My mom also worked for the Humane Society so we always got animals from there. I totally agree on them but sometimes we get "new". |

Another benefit of shelter pets. Ol' Fuckhead Frank (Demere) cost an adoption fee of $50. That included getting a chip, rabies shot, and neuter surgery. That's a hell of a deal.
Imagine paying retail for that stuff & the cost of an animal from a breeder. Shelter pets love you as much, if not more, than high price critters. |

I guess my parents tried to dress gizmo up as a pirate this halloween but he wasnt too thrilled with it. obviously because it took 2 people to get him still to take a picture haha. he just wore his shirt without the hat after that.
im going home to visit in a couple weeks so ill take some new pictures of him. i miss that little guy. |

^Abby On the rare occasion I've dressed up my dog, she looked at me like I was the lowest form of owner on the earth. Cats are WAY more fun. After you dress them up they just lay there with a look of defeat on their faces Here's my cat Marlon who I tried to put a Santa hat on. He looks like he's saying "I ought to kick your ass".
