Matt Giraud and Danny Gokey Aren't Fans of VFTW

It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that they don't like VFTW, but Danny Gokey and Matt Giraud were asked about our wonderful site by Kim Reed of the Examiner.

Finally before Giraud left I asked if they read reviews or blogs and both said, "not anymore." When asked if they read the funnier Idol related sites like Vote for the Worst or Idletard they briefly squirmed around and Danny changed voices in to a bit of a childish, whiny character and said, "What's Vote for the Worst?"  Matt then chimed in, "no they're mean." I said true but at times they can be funny to which he replied, "not to us!"

Well Danny has plenty to dislike us for, but Matt, really? All we did was make fun of your boil, which you then got removed and now you look better. You should be thanking us. VFTW is the voice of truth. Thanks for the shoutout though, Kim!


Chile Wedding Shoutout!

Casey, Amanda's husband, stopped by VFTW to post some pictures that he and Amanda took at their wedding. How is awesome is that? We got a wedding shoutout! See, we always told you Chile was cool. Congrats again Amanda and Casey and enjoy the honeymoon!


Nigel Lythgoe Uses Sanjaya Like a Cheap Trick for American Idol's Cash Cow

If you listen to American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe's version of things, he loves Sanjaya Malakar. And he most certainly did not cast the 17 year old on the show to make people angry when he outlasted better singers. Of course not. In a new article, Lythgoe makes himself sound like an idiot by saying, "I'm old school, so any time my shows are talked about, I'm really happy." Of course you are, Nigel. While Sanjaya is ripped apart in the media, you pretend to take the high road to look better, all the while deliciously savoring the press and big bucks the show rakes in as a result. Lythgoe also acknowledges VFTW for the first time in 2 years, calling us, "a fly buzzing around a cow" and saying, "when you're getting 30 million votes, whatever that website can do is just not enough." So does that mean Idol will try to rig the votes this week to get rid of Sanjaya to make Nigel look smart? I guess we'll see! All we can do is have fun with it and vote.
