John Park is a member of an acapella group at Northwestern University called Purple Haze. John is a junior economics major. We don't see him going very far for 2 reasons: 1) Idol likes to make Asian contestants the butt of jokes, because Idol is racist and 2) John's friends are already leaking information about his participation on the show. Once Idol finds out, they might shitcan him. We shall see.
Katie Stevens - American Idol 9 Hollywood Contestant
Katie Stevens, a 16 year old from Middlebury, Connecticut is one of the Hollywood contestants this year. She was first runner up at Miss Teen Connecticut last year and won Westbury's Outstanding Teen. She has a good voice, but nothing about her stands out at all in her online videos. She seems to be fodder like the typical pageant teen Idol contestants, but maybe she'll surprise us. Embrace your crazy side, Katie!

Todrick Hall - American Idol 9 Hollywood Contestant

Holy motherfucking melisma, Batman. Todrick Hall doesn't have a bad voice, but the ridiculous amount of runs he adds to songs like the one above make him sound like an idiot. Will he continue to do this while on Idol, possibly securing himself a spot as the VFTW pick? Todrick was a cruise ship singer that then landed a role in Broadway's The Color Purple. Soon after, he wrote a musical called Oz: The Musical which has starred former American Idol contestants Vonzell Solomon and Diana DeGarmo, former Danity Kane member Aundrea Fimbres, So You Think You Can Dance contestant Thayne Jaspersen, and more. He wrote and directed a damn musical that's touring the country. With that kind of networking, what the heck does Todrick need Idol for? He's ruining his career by doing this.

JB Ahfua made it to Hollywood last year, and now he's back to try again. He's a 17 year old student. There's not much info about him on the internet. All we know is that he picks bad songs for his audition, so hopefully his tastes have matured a bit before this year's audition.

Above is a video of Genesis Moore when she was 13. She's now 17 and a senior in high school. She's the typical Idol diva in the video above, so let's hope over the last 4 years she has branched out and made herself stand out a bit more. We'll see if we see her on the show.

Jason Diaz has been all over the previews for American Idol 9, so we're guessing the producers love him. This isn't a shock, as he looks like your typical Idol contestant. Also, his voice is an obnoxious falsetto that makes us want to kick puppies, so of course Idol would like him. Jason had a song called "Paper Roses" featured in a November 2009 episode of Gossip Girl and an October 2009 episode of Ghost Whisperer, a second song called "Aftermath" also appeared on Ghost Whisperer, and he played in a Selena Gomez/Demi Lovato music video, so he must have some good connections. It shouldn't be a shock how he got his spot on the show then.

There doesn't seem to be much information about Stephanie Daulong available online except that she's from Austin, Texas. Smart girl, she actually took down most of it. What we do know is that she's blonde, pretty, has an annoying voice in the song above), and most importantly she doesn't seem to wear pants. What's with the no pants thing? With all the "glory glory hallelujahs" is she the token religious girl this season? Idol usually throws about a bazillion bible beaters into the mix, but since there's no real info about Stephanie online, all we can do is speculate. Do religious girls wear pants?
