Jamar Rogers Withdrew From American Idol 9. Yay!
You may remember Danny Gokey's friend Jamar Rogers from the past season of American Idol. We were none to happy to learn he was back and had made it past the first round of auditions for American Idol 9, mostly because anyone involved with Danny Gokey clearly has to be annoying. Well, we can now rest soundly, because JoesPlace is reporting that Jamar dropped out of the competition before the judges' round of auditions. That's music to our ears!
Lee DeWyze - American Idol 9 Hollywood Contestant
Another contestant who has made it to Hollywood during American Idol 9 is Lee DeWyze from Chicago. He's got an ok voice, but nothing special that we've seen yet, and do we need another Kris Allen in the competition? He does need to shave that beard before people start making fun of it, but he's a decent singer with nothing else that stands out so far besides the fact that he covered Marilyn Manson's The Beautiful People. So he might be secretly interesting.
Kat Nestel - American Idol 9 Hollywood Contestant
As we get the leaks, we'll let you know so you can start to judge the contestants of American Idol 9 already. Here is Kat Nestel, who has made it to Hollywood this year, performing "Saw Red" with some members of the band Sublime. She seems to go by Kat without any last name in all of her online info. In this performance she has a mediocre voice, but there are hints of a personality that might be fun in some of her YouTube videos. Kat, we encourage you to play up the personality in Hollywood.
Chicago Judges' Auditions are Monday and Tuesday at the Hyatt Regency
The celebrity judges' round of auditions in Chicago is set to take place Monday and Tuesday (August 31 and September 1) at the Hyatt Regency at 151 East Wacker Drive. You never know who might show up there (wink wink). You should show up too to get even more gossip and let us know how it goes.
Orlando Judges' Auditions are Today and Tomorrow at the Shingle Creek Resort
If you're bored and want to spy, the American Idol judges are going to be at the Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL today and tomorrow for the next round of Idol auditions. How do we know this? We're awesome.
Michael Castro Saw the Judges Today in Dallas
Michael Castro can be seen in this Fox Dallas/Fort Worth video at 1:15 seeing the judges again this year. Well, either we'll get to laugh at him failing again or we'll have someone to root against by default.
UPDATE: Michael Castro made it to Hollywood. Humiliation, here he comes.
Cody Sheldon Sighting at the Orlando Auditions
One of the Worsters who tried out in Orlando said that they saw Cody Sheldon there. This kid just doesn't give up, huh? He was rejected at the Chicago auditions, but we're not sure what happened to him in Orlando yet. If you've heard, let us know. Also, share your Orlando audition experiences with us for the piece we're putting together, or if you're trying out in Denver as a last shot, let us know about that too.

This is awesome news! Digital Spy is reporting that our favorite terrorizing twins, John and Edward, are performing the "Ghostbusters" theme as their song selection on the upcoming episode of the X Factor. And yes, they'll be wearing the Ghostbuster outfits. We hope this is true. John and Edward are now in their 5th week of competition. One more week, and they'll be tied with Sanjaya's VFTW record of longevity.
