VFTW Radio 2/3/10 - And We are Telling You, We're Glad Auditions are Finally Over

Posted by thefunnystone on February 3rd, 2010 at 2:00 PM

Thank God, the auditions are over and we can finally get down to the good Hollywood drama. But first, VFTW radio discussed how season 9 of Idol is shaping up. Nick Mitchell also gives us a ring and chats about his time on Idol, as well as Kendall, one of the Worsters who tried out in Denver. Overall, an awesome show! Tune in from 10-11 PM Eastern to listen to the VFTW Radio show, and give us a call during the show at 201-793-8255 to chat live. You can always count on Dave, Deb, Sean, and Slack to tell it like it is, crush dreams, and make you laugh.

There are 3 ways to listen:

  • Head to Alldigitalradio.com to listen or check for a "listen live" link in this post during the show to take you there.
  • Listen live on iTunes at Radio-> Talk-> All Digital Radio.
  • Download Internet Radio Box on your iPhone and search for the All Digital Radio Network.

If you want an mp3 of the show, subscribe to the Vote for the Worst radio iTunes channel and you'll be able to download the show the morning after.

Finally, someone recognizes the real star of American Idol season 8. USA Today's Pop Candy gave Nick Mitchell's alter ego Normund Gentle the #97 spot on the Top 100 People of 2009 list. Fitting and well deserved. Congrats, Normund!

Picture from Kristen McNamara's Facebook. Now this would have been an awesome top 3 this past year. Loving it. Idol voters never get it right!

Nick Mitchell is a Big Tipper

And now for a random update. In a world full of Idol primadonnas, it's nice to see that one of VFTW's favorites gets Twittered because he's a nice guy. Looks like Nick Mitchell is a big tipper when he goes to Cold Stone.

You voted, we counted. Here's the winners of the 2009 Whatevia Awards. (For the original nominees, click here).

1. Favorite Female VFTW Peformance: Megan Joy - Rockin Robin

2. Favorite Male VFTW Performance: Nick Mitchell as Normund Gentle - And I Am Telling You

Fabulous Normund Gentle returns to the Wendy Williams Show to talk about American Idol. Nick Mitchell's alter ego needs his own show. Now that would be must see TV. Normund forever!

Normund should be on the TV 24-7. Love him!

VFTW contestant Alex Wagner-Trugman wanders the Third Street Promenade with an MTV film crew to see if anyone remembers him from his stint on Idol. Alex also mentions in the article that he's taking comedy lessons after the recommendation of Nick Mitchell. Perfect! We love this guy, too funny.
