Adam Lambert

Kara DioGuardi, the girl no one would invite to their birthday party because she has cooties, has decided to start trumpeting on The View that Adam Lambert is definitely gay. Do people really still care about this? Seriously? Kara tells Barbara Walters in the episode set to air tomorrow, "I don't think that Adam [Lambert] was ever in [the closet]. I think he was always openly out." Kara, no one cares what you think or have to say. Remember? That's why you had such a bad time judging Idol this year.

So why do people still care that Adam is gay? Apparently Adam has been holding back because he's possibly getting a big, fat paycheck from Rolling Stone to announce it in a cover story in their next issue. As if it needs an announcement. When will Adam release his unsuccessful dance album so we can all forget about him like we have last year's runner up, What's His Face, and the year before's, Whozithuh?

Adam Lambert Should Never Take a Close Up Picture

Posted by thefunnystone on May 27th, 2009 at 7:01 PM

SocialiteLife has info about Adam Lambert's appearance on Regis and Kelly. But no one cares about that. Instead, we found this scary picture of Adam close-up. Dude needs to learn to do his makeup better to cover those craters. And the cold sores aren't exactly winning him any points with the dudes. No offense, Adam, but HD wouldn't do you any favors. Kids, here's your next Halloween costume.

Adam fans fighting the 7 stages of grief over his loss? This is for you.

Neil Lambert Isn't a VFTW Fan

Posted by thefunnystone on May 24th, 2009 at 1:52 PM

It seems that Neil Lambert, Adam Lambert's brother, has been posting at SomethingAwful.com. And he has some choice words about VFTW that read much like the hilarious hate mail we always get:

"I can't stand browsing their forums. It's like a giant circle jerk for all the kids who hate poo poo just because the majority likes it. They're the kids that were into Hot Topic until everyone else was into it. Then, even though the same clothes were being sold, they emphatically rejected it.

I could care less about them, true, but what makes me angry is the inevitable posting of "VFTW Victory!!!" everywhere with that loving rage-inducing smiley they use upon Adam losing the competition (which is a very real possibility). The millions of Gokey fans who vote en masse for Kris should claim the victory, not a handful of bitchy queens who use words like "fug" in serious conversation."

Seriously, Neil? Poo poo? Hot Topic? But hey, the bitchy queens on this site can't really hate you that much, because you love to mock Gokey as much as we do. So right on there, brother.

"Like I've always said, the only thing that would have sent me flying into a rage would have been a Gokey victory... Adam will be fine no matter what. He's got a lot of people knocking on his door. Besides the shame of having someone as lame as Gokey beating him, it might even be better for him to get 2nd."

Clay Aiken is Not a Fan of Adam Lambert

Posted by againstallodds on May 22nd, 2009 at 9:37 AM

Clay Aiken blogged about Adam Lambert's loss, saying that he was happy because Adam was the perfect example of a professional who didn't need Idol to help his career. Clay wishes the show would go back to trying to find undiscovered talent instead of pimping proven failures like Carly Smithson (the Carly comparison is ours, not his. We just like to use her as a punching bag.) Clay blogged:

"The show was different then, and folks made it in seasons 1-3 because they were "real" people who happened to sing/entertain well. But, somewhere along the way, AI stopped being about real people. In a battle between David and Goliath, my money is on David!

I think many voters got sick of being "told who to vote for". I think many were turned off by the blatant favoritism shown towards one contestant. Therefore, on that last night, they used their votes against a contestant that they were tired of hearing about and for the contestant who had been written off. And, at the same time, I think they voted AGAINST an American Idol that has, for four years now, been more about the slick productions and polished contestants than it has been about finding the raw talent that it did in its first three seasons."

Preach it! Though Clay does leave out that he was pimped beyond belief at the expense of other contestants, just like Adam was. But does this make Clay Aiken a sort-of Worster?

Gene Simmons Says Adam Lambert Isn't a Rock Singer

Posted by thefunnystone on May 21st, 2009 at 7:51 PM

It's true. It's just hilarious that someone is actually saying it. From the Gene Simmons website:

Gene..
You rocked tonight on American Idol. Like always. U R a rock god!!!!!
If you cant can you hook Adam Lambert up with someone to get him started on the way to be another rock god like you.
My opinion is: Adam should of won American idol hands down. He is amazing. I have bought everything there is to buy of him on I tunes and I voted hundreds of times for him on Tuesday nights. actually sat here and voted and voted for hours for him.
Hope you actually get this and can send Adam somewhere he can start his rock n roll career .
Take care and big ass hugs to you, Jodie

Response from Gene:

Respectfully,
I don't think Adam is a rock singer. He sounds much more convincing singing ballads, and Broadway shows. His voice doesn't seem to have a "rock quality." But, I'm sure he's going to do just fine.

Sometimes the smallest gestures are the funniest.

Album Covers Show Who Idol Producers Wanted to Win

Posted by againstallodds on May 21st, 2009 at 11:51 AM

A reader named Joseph sent us the 2 album covers for Adam Lambert and Kris Allen's versions of "No Boundaries". One looks like it took some effort and the other looks slapped together. Joseph also mentioned that Adam's version of the song has a ton of production while Kris's doesn't. Idol probably assumed Adam had this thing in the bag and didn't take too much time to work on Kris's art. Too bad we messed that one up.
