Our tiara girl is all grown up! Julissa Veloz, one of VFTW's favorite auditioners from American Idol 8, has released a music video for her song "Take Control". And Julissa isn't being shy here. That's our girl. Just goes to show, Idol needs more dominatrix scenes.

With the way this info has been coming in so quickly, don't be surprised if there are even more updates later today. JoesPlace has a good portion of the top 24 spoiled. Here's the entire list so far, for those of you who haven't seen anything else:

Top 24 Guys so far: Alex Lambert, Andrew Garcia, Ben Honeycutt, Chris Golightly, David Duke, Jermaine Sellers, John Park, Lee DeWyze, Michael Lynche, Tyler Grady

Top 24 Girls so far: Ashley Rodriguez, Katie Stevens, Lilly Scott, Lacey Brown, Michelle Delamor

We'll be previewing the contestants on here that we haven't mentioned yet. We spoiled Lee DeWyze as a contestant way back in September, so check him out here. We've also already previewed Ben Honeycutt, Chris Golightly, John Park, and Michelle Delamor. Ashley Rodriguez, Katie Stevens, Jermaine Sellers, and Tyler Grady have already been featured on the show.

What is with Idol's affinity for curly haired, transgendered looking contestants this year? Chris Golightly is from Orange County, California. So far, this dude seems like a total douche. His music MySpace lists his name as "Orphan" where he goes into his sob story about how he was an orphan as a child. Direct quote:

Hello, My name is Orphan. I was born in San Pedro, CA. Now here is where it begins, when I was three years old I was placed in the system. Growing up without my parents by my side is what I had to accept. As a child it was very rough and I had to stand up on my own two feet. Every holiday was harsh because my parents and my family were never there. Every year was becoming more and more stressful, the older I got the angrier I became. Running away from foster homes etc... every five months made me come to realize I had stories to tell... Ever since I was three to the present day that you are reading this, I am still an Orphan ready and dedicated to my music.

OK, this guy is seriously pathetic. Looks like an early front runner for Sob Story Douche of the Year. And why is it that the contestants that Idol previewed with commercials back in December are all suddenly in the top 24 that was selected this week? Pre-selected much?

JoesPlace has a few more updates today. Artheria La'Bry (Theiry Harden) has made the top 48 (woo hoo!). Other top 48 contestants not previously announced: Bosa Mora, Charity Vance, Lilly Scott, and Tyler Grady. Brittany Starr James was cut during the chair episode. No word yet on Ben Honeycutt.

Michelle Delamor has made the top 24. Seems Idol likes its curly haired chicks this season. She performed in the South Florida Summerfest 2008 with Colby O'Donis, who is signed to Akon's record label. Due to the preview above, we're thinking Idol is going to pimp the hell out of her soon enough, so stay tuned for that.
