A friend of mine is a HUGE Evanescence fan and I downloaded the latest single of The Fallen...oh wait...We Are The Fallen...or as I like to call them: Evanescence II...for him. He cringed, said 'she's ok, but she's no Amy Lee' and added that the band themselves have become 'a Linkin Park wannabe'.
Either way, not impressed (and neither was I).

you should totally add this to your "Truth about Carly Smithson" page and link your "Truth" page to every Carly update to remind newcomers that this isn't the first time she's made (unfeasible! untrue! unfair!) excuses about past music industry failures.
On one hand, I feel sad that someone like Carly has failed so much in the industry... on the other hand, there's thousands of artists out there that never have even had the chance to be a top singer, unlike her and her phail-bot "Ultimate High" multimillion budget.
EDIT - I meant "The Lies of Carly Smithson" not the Truth thingy... I guess I had it confused with your other popular page about another lie-bot contestant who doesn't need to be named... let's call her cally-marrie. tee hee.

Today the greatest Idol in history, Carly Smithson, came forth with her long awaited announcement of the next phase in her musical journey, revealing she has joined a band to be called The Fallen, with the original members of Evanescence.
We spoke with Ben Moody, formerly of Evanescence, and Carly by phone on Tuesday.
Q: How did the plan change?
BM: Our plan was when we first started, before they opened the door, go back to the time period of recording "Fallen" and make that move of going back to the time period of 2003 and move forward musically from that point. But the name The Fallen seemed to be the perfect fit because we’ve all fallen away from our original course somewhere along the way and that record is what set us all up with the platform to do this. And it just seemed right.

After Carly Smithson's new band Evanescence With an Uglier Lead Singer, we mean The Fallen, was hit with a cease and desist letter, they quietly changed their name to We Are The Fallen. The band quickly updated its MySpace, home page, and other sites that we clearly saw the band listed as The Fallen on. But now Carly insists on her Twitter that this wasn't the case.
The band did indeed have the name wearethefallen.com, but the site listed the band as "The Fallen". Why did they pick that name? Because thefallen.com was already taken.
Laura, believe everything you read about Carly. As long as it didn't come from her own mouth. The woman is a pathological liar and couldn't tell the truth if her life depended on it. More failure for the official Fail Whale of VFTW!
