It was bad enough to hear about David Cook all the time where I live, but it would suck even worse to live in Milwaukee right now, and hear about the Goke Tool on the local news.

I live in Milwaukee. I'm a musician. I got kicked out of WAMI years ago when myself and a few others who were in original bands (non-cover) questioned the group. WAMI is a joke. They promote cover bands and hotel bar singers. Their yearly "awards" are a sham. They put on a big production and throw in a few national bands with wisconsin ties to get publicity. That's why this tool was nominated at the last minute. Anyone from Milwaukee or even wisconsin who has any musical integrity thinks this group is a joke. The only thing that keeps them going is that the board members are ass kissers and friends with the people who book festivals in the area, that's why the festivals feature crappy cover bands opening for national touring bands. They help give Milwaukee a bad name and make it look like there is no music worth hearing from Milwaukee.

Nominated for a Wisconsin area Gospel award, Danny Gokey couldn't even win that. Some other guy won. Maybe Danny forgot to tell them that he deserves to win because his wife died.
