Now that Archie is 18 he's showing new independence from Daddy Jeff by being photographed in bed. However, this is new territory for him; so, he left his clothes on for the shoot. And, yet, the shoes could be a subtle reference by young Archie to those gay pornos in which the guys leave their shoes and socks on while making forbidden love.

I think the Power Rangers are a little too macho for Gaspy. I would suggest Thomas the Tank Engine, but I don't think the trains wear any clothes and that might mean too much Sharpie on his sheets.

The white sheets and wall reference Archie's virginal status. His mom and dad inspect his pure, white sheets each morning for tell-tale semen stains. The lamp shining on him is actually an infrared lamp.
When Archie gets his own apartment, he'll be using yellow sheets for sure.
