David Cook First Single - Light On

AOL Popeater has the first listen to David Cook's first single, Light On. We think it's incredibly generic and the screaming in the verses is painfully poserific. As Chile put it, "ballads are boring." Isn't David supposed to be a rocker? Even the big headed one is better than this crappy song. Then again, it was produced by some douche who produces Kid Rock songs, so that might explain why it's so bad. Opinions?

Call me dumb but considering Chris Cornell was involved I was expecting something a little better. This is as generic and bland as it could get.

I like Chris Cornell's solo cds, but he wrote his best work when he was depressed & drinking. 


Cook's voice bores me, but I expected something better.

It was OK. Not one of the best AI songs I've heard, but definately not the worst.
