Okay, we get that you think you're too cool for American Idol. The problem is that you are celebrating a victory for homophobia. Of course you will mock this email, but you should actually give a thought to what is actually making you so happy. The homophobic garbage all over the Internet is truly sad and you have made yourselves a part of it.  Dismiss this assessment all you want - the fact is it's true.  Did you have a laugh at the murder of, for just one example, Harvey Milk?  Your pathetic attempt at being cool is one step away from that and it certainly promotes the kind of prejudice that led to it and other murders, beatings, etc., of people who are not part of the majority population. You are celebrating a win by a fundamentalist Christian over a gay man and by doing so, you are just as narrow-minded and prejudiced as any hate-filled fundamentalist.

Hey there, long time fan here. Just wanted to let you know that for one thing, I absolutely love what you do for the show, you guys should be the judges instead of the moron's they've got now... But that's not why I'm writing. I'm writing to let you know that you guys broke the girl who sits next to me in my Chemistry class's heart. She was gushing about the "Oh my gosh SO goregous" Adam Lambert and how hot she thought he was. Jokingly, I said to her, "Yeah, shame he wouldn't be interested." To this she replied "WHAT? What do you mean?" I then went on her blackberry and pulled up about five different pictures of Adam making out with other guys. At this, her eyes started to tear up, and she just kept saying over and over, "No... It's not true!" It was easily the most entertaining moment of my day. So thank you, Vote for the Worst, for making my otherwise dull day just a little bit brighter.

OMG, I mean, why did Kris Allen even win?! Adam Lambert has a better and obviously wider vocal range. And what is up with American Idol these days? This is exactly what happened in season 7. David Archuleta was way better but Cook won instead. Because of this, I'm thinking of American Idol as a whole big lie. As of now, I am no longer sure if I'm still going to be tuned in for the next season because I bet that they're just going to choose someone really good to be in the Final 2 but in the end, the other one will win. Thus, making all fans devastated all over again.That is so uncool.
P.S. I'm not what you're thinking, I'm not one of those crazy fangirls who chase their favorite artists' cars when they're leaving already. Or any of those girls who have posters all over their rooms. I just stand for what is right.

The real voting strength comes from southern voters (Kelly Clarkson, Rueben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia, Bo Bice,  Chris Daughtry, Taylor Hicks,  Melinda Doolittle,  David Cook - all from the south.)  Truth is, southerners are much more loyal
fans - that's why country stars have three, four, five albums or more on average, whereas pop stars disappear after their second album fails.  Get a grip!!!!!!!!!

Everytime I try to post I get the following message: Access denied You are not authorized to access this page.
Also, what is up with logging into this site?  I'm always having to reset my password to get logged in, it's the same password I reset it to every single time.  But next time I have to log in guess what?  It says I've entered an incorrect password...this has been going on for several years now on your site.  What is the fucking problem?  I don't mean to sound like an ass but who the fuck is running your site?  Clearly someone hasn't a clue as to what they are doing.  Doesn't matter what browser I use, it's the same problem every year with you guys.
Oh I guess you blocked me from posting I told you guys off a few weeks ago about the constant logging in issues.  And you call gokey a douchebag...learn how to operate a website before you build it.  You guys have no clue how to keep a site up and running let alone a simple process called "logging in"...maybe we should make you the "VFTW" pick?   UnFUCKINGbelievable!

It's because of you people that Kris Allen won American Idol even though it's obvious that he possessed absolutely NO talent to win, much less make it to the finals. You know what the biggest argument against democracy is?... spend 5 minutes talking to people like you. It is my go-to place for any Idol related gossip, and it has some great editorials about the performers and their... special.. judges. I am not about to send you a large hate letter. That goes nowhere, though I also doubt this attempt will go anywhere either. You people are set in your ways, but your ways don't make much sense. I went to your About Us page to try and get my simple question of "why" answered, and all I got from it was further confusion. You believe Idol keeps poor contestants in far too long for pure entertainment -- I can see where you might get that from the first auditions, but no further. The first auditions ARE meant to entertain. Introduce us to some budding talent but also hook us to the show with several laughs. But you can't honestly say the judges don't put through the people who actually show some level of talent. Even Nick Mitchell had some kind of a voice hidden beneath his persona. The fact is that HE, and people like Sanjaya, did not take Idol seriously, but the judges did and hoped they soon would as well. They were soon off the show to make room for better talent. The fact of the matter here is that the Idol producers take the talent that goes through there seriously, it's you guys who don't. Or did you forget that Idol judges have no say after Hollywood week? Can people not have some sentimentality to a show without others sabotaging its system and suddenly assuming they intend the entire series to be a joke? Remember what "assume" makes you...
I am an Adam Lambert fan, he was the clear victor over Kris regardless. He was a performer, an entertainer, with the air of a real professional superstar. Kris just looked pissed off the last few episodes and made it obvious he didn't want the win. I know your guys' intent was to throw this in everyone's faces, but the actual two people in the crossfire seem to have gone unnoticed -- ESPECIALLY KRIS. I doubt he expected the win, I also doubt he wanted it. I don't think he's cut out for the business, and now you guys have stapled him to it with an unfair win. I believe he's overwhelmed. Not really wanting to continue the tiring schedule but now unable to part with it because he's got to make some several thousand new interviews, put out a new album so that he's not a complete letdown to the show -- honestly, in a way, you guys have now enslaved him. It was all in his face. Adam not only deserved it, he would have thrived in it. But hey, let Adam Lambert be the next Daughtry. Chris D made a much bigger impact in the musical world than Hicks did for that season, Adam Lambert has his career ahead of him, not behind. Adam fans out there can still expect a musical takeover from the guy who held his own with fireworks and an 80s Glam Rock band, Kiss -- and you at Vote For The Worst will just have to live with that. :)

I have been a Vote for the Worst hater since the Taylor Hicks won (I didn't know about the site until then) and I hated you guys even more when you guys supported Sanjaya. But I never thought I would be saying this to you guys but... "Thank You" for helping Kris Allen win Season 8. Adam had amazing talent, but I couldn't take it how they over exposed him where it almost made it where I had to close my eyes watching him perform I COULD'T TAKE LOOKING AT HIS FACE ANY LONGER! and in your words "It's like he has already won!" I really wanted Kris to win. And I am surprising myself writing this, I honestly NEVER thought that I would be writing a thank you letter to you ass-holes. So I say it again "THANK YOU!"

Just writing to tell you how much I've enjoy reading all the hate mail you've posted in your Mail Bag this season. If there's one thing I'll miss while Idol is off the air for eight months, it's reading mail from retards telling you to "Shut down your site immediately." Anyway, great job again this season, and great job with the VFTW picks.

A few seasons back, I thought VFTW was a website designed by a jilted fan who's favorite lost. Now, my view of VFTW has changed completely, and I stand behind Kris! Don't get me wrong, he's absolutely generic and uninteresting. However, I do not care for the ruthless pimping by Idol judges, of their early favorite, Adam. For that, Adam must fail, and we must VOTE FOR THE WORST! Judge pimping has always been evident in every season, but this season's pimping of an Adam/Danny finale was over the top. Let's put Kris in the winner's circle!!! Thanks VFTW- you really are the voice of the American people!!!

Kris Allen was the MOST marketable one left. He fits right in to the current popular music scene: Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Keith Urban. Adam Lambert was way too out there to sell. He scares the shit out of all the narrow minded people in the US of A.
Both musicians are super talented so I really didn't care who won. In fact, the long view I take is that Adam will actually benefit more from the loss. Just like Chris Daughtrey did.
But YOU GUYS NEVER SAW IT COMING. You helped the producers out this time. Congratulations! They know what you do, and they played you. You make no difference to them or the show.
You should be sending out props to the Christian Coalition who also sent their votes in to keep the sinful Adam Lambert from winning the show, thereby aiding you in your "success."
If you really don't buy it...take another look at both contestants singing the Final song...that song was written for Kris and he proved it at the end of the show last night.
This year, you lost. In the biggest, most embarrassing way possible. And again, I am grateful to you.
Next year, to REALLY win, you should do what you can to get the absolute WORST contestant ALL the way to the end. This switching of contestants as you go is pathetic. When I first learned of your site, I thought you might be on to something, but you can't get enough people to follow you to really make a difference. If you could...the absolute worst singer would have won. Never happens.
But you'll all keep trying because it makes you feel like you're making a difference in the world. If all of you would redirect just HALF the time you spend working on changing the voting on IDOL into something productive, like maybe letting your voices be heard by your senators and governors and changing the current state of affairs in this country, that would be a great thing. What you do here is just pathetic. Grow up and try to change something that matters.
Kris was the winner, hands down. Thanks for helping him out.

Darn it, I wanted to see Adam win and score one for the gay community. The reactions from the multitudes of homophobes would have been *GREAT*.
