Ahhh...my sweet VFTW extended family...did I ever tell you I love you guys?? All of you? You are what made this season interesting...out side of Flamebert, of course...and I want you to know that I love ya's. Ohhh...I have my favorites...Moxie, Dancing Cookie, Analog, Tantrum, Dave, Professor Chan, so many more that I can't begin to explain.

Old Tom got his knickers in a knot over some of us liking the Glambert video of himself singing the Star Spangled Banner with sheep baaaing on the stage and an American flag hung in the background, because Old Tom is retired military and thinks of himself as a patriot, saying that such evil desecration of the flag crosses the line between funny and totally uncool. Then someone else astutely mentioned that he/she thought it was sad that so many military folk don't even understand what they're fighting to defend: namely, FREEDOM, including the freedom to make fun of/desecrate/burn/shit on/wear/wrap one's testicles in the American flag. I think that observation did the trick. Tom said he was done with that conversation, but I think he was actually done with this site all together. Some people really flip their lids when you hold a mirror up to them in good light.
On another note, I will be dumbfounded and amazed if this post actually posts. This site has sucked donkey balls the past few weeks. Are the technical, um, difficulties (that's putting it mildly) over and done with? Has the benevolent hand o' gawd reached out of the clouds and tetched Dave at long last? We shall see...
Edit: Um, no, the site still has major fucked up frustrating issues. Good thing it's free or I'd cancel my subscription. The lard works in mysterious ways.

Craptastic -- that was a great recap of what happened with Old Tom. Too bad he got his knickers in a twist as I enjoyed his commentary. Ex-military guys do have very strong opinions about certain "patriotic" subjects but it surprised me that he stomped off in a huff. After all, the rampant sarcasm, name-calling, and general f*ckboobing that happens on this site knows no bounds as to targets. As a participant ya gotta know that some of your own sacred cows are gonna get it at some time or other.

I hope I’m writing to the right person. On Tue. April 28th I voted for Adam on the phone. His number was suppose to be 10, so when I called your phone # and put 10 at the end of the #, it said thank you for voting for #5 instead of 10. I tried it one more time and it did it again, so I stopped because I wanted Adam not someone else. If Adam had of been the one to leave on Wed. that would have been because your voting system was cheating him out of his calls. Please fix that problem.

I was reading about why you started this site and I have a question for you?? If you hate American Idol so much why do you even bother to watch it and run this site?? If you despise it so much YOU SHOULDN’T BE WATCHING IT!! Why would you put yourself through it if it makes you miserable. I was seriously tempted to send this with no capitalization, no punctuation, a ton of typos, and all in caps, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.
I wanted to say that, I am no fan of AI. In fact, I have never seen a single episode live. I cannot bring myself to support TPTB or FOX. But, I am a fan of singing/singers/talent shows and every week I faithfully log onto VFTW, read your analyses (in particular Dr.Chan) and then watch the performances (minus the judges self righteous blather) on Youtube. Then the next day, I check in with you guys to see who was voted out, no results show necessary. Thanks for letting me enjoy the good (the musical performances, be they good or bad), and skip the bad (the results crud) and the ugly (the four idiots) in half the time it would take to actually watch the dreck.
Oh, and as if that weren't enough, you ALSO provide a mailbag. Wheeeeee, what fun.
You guys certainly provide a great public service, if only some of the commenters could be a little more civil, it would be the perfect site. But I guess there are morons everywhere.
