David Hernandez Thinks He Was Voted Out Because He's Gay

Whatever . . . he was terrible and Adam's amazing and that's the end of it. If people had personal issue with David Hernandez (beyond his lack of talent), I'm sure it WAS because of the stripper thing--if anything, he should be happy he even got to be on the show at all. Remember that whole scandal with that girl Frenchie getting disqualified because of some topless photos? Anyway, if middle America does have a "gay" issue (which even to a NYer like me seems like a broad generalization), apparently being a talented performer is enough to make them forget about it, since Adam has yet to be in the bottom 3.

While I totally agree he was voted off over the stripper thing. He was a good singer and no, he is totally not in Adams league....few are. I think Mr. Noriega was a bigger disgrace in terms of being voted off.

Ummm... Why doesn't anyone in the VFTW comunity think for a second that Idol had something to do with him being booted off?

David had no shot of making it to the finals (as the other davids were obvious from the start) and probably not even top 5, but was decent enough to make it to at least make it to the tour.

However, when the "scandal" about him broke out, Idol had a problem.
1)Instantly disqualifying him makes them look very bad and too conservatives.
2)Not disqualifying him makes them look hyprocriticals after Fantasia.

So what do they do? Throw him off the bus.
They simply keep him on the show and make sure he is voted that same week home.
Poof probelm solved.

Also, another reason David was booted so early on is because he is basically a lot more like Kris than Adam. He is a mediocre singer and a decent looker. Except this year Kris is on his own while Caden had to share the tween votes with many others (Castro, Cook & Archuleta).

So was it the gay thing? No. Did lying help? Heck no but it certinly wasn't all there was to it.

And the guy has to be a moron if he says Adam hasn't been voted off "yet". He went out 12th and Adam (who will likely make it to the finals) is already in the top 5.

Coudln't he just say that America has changed? It is true...

David denied he was gay...I didn't support him, why would I bother? Adam is just being himself, good for him.

And I have to say to DAvid that Middle American people also have gay sons and daughters, so it was much more likely you were voted off because you were a stripper.

I loved when Simon told Caden to strip for Paula.
