Donate to Help Luke Menard

Instead of wasting your hard earned money on laptops for stoners, why not help someone who could use some support right now? Luke Menard, the season 7 semifinalist diagnosed with cancer, has a lot of medical bills. His friends David Cook and Michael Johns are encouraging their fans to help him out, and now that he has put up a PayPal link, so are we. Worsters are great at donating to many outstanding causes (including Relay for Life and The Lupus Foundation of America), so consider helping out Luke. If you're interested in donating, send Paypal funds to lukeandrewmenard@gmail.com

Sounds like a brilliant idea! When it all comes down to it, laptops, trips and iphones seems minute compared to a life.
If the fantards want to donate money for their American Idols, why don't they throw the money where they'll KNOW will be put to good use?

Seems simple to me.

Azurebird, I agree.
Unfortunately, most fans of the American Idols would rather be recognized personally for what they do (like donating laptops) instead of donating to a cause that is way more important.

It was late when I decided to make an account on here...

Thanks for posting this Dave. There comes a time when all joking needs to be set aside, and this is one of those times. I have posted this information in my own blog spots, and I truly hope people who can give, do.

Hey Castrotards. Since you're just SO fucking rich, surely you could send a little bit of that Luke's way. Help your fellow man in need, useless cunts.

Most AI fans are bandwagon types. They go for the most popular and current. They probably don't even remember who Luke Menard is because "he's like so, you know, top 24".
I also wonder how much AI itself will do to help a recent contestant. I'm betting not much, becuase they'll take the attitude "what did he ever do for us?". At least until enough publicity forces them into some spin control.

Anyway, I will extend my best wishes to Luke, both in spiritual and fiscal ways.

I get paid on Friday, so I'll definitely send some money Luke's way. Jason Castro and his fantards can kiss my ass.

""Unfortunately, most fans of the American Idols would rather be recognized personally for what they do (like donating laptops) instead of donating to a cause that is way more important.""

As with most things. Buying the Idols Laptops and Trips shows a physical visual object that proves to a person, "Yeah I bought that. Look everyone, I bought that for him/her!"

Donating something that is not as visual, some people refuse to be part of. Even if it has to do with a life like a situation in Luke's case.

Sad and pathetic.

What they don't know is you get a hell alot more rewards than something as tiny as a physical object. Like that warm fuzzy feeling one gets as a reward of good will.

I'm going to donate the money as soon as I get paid. As for now, I'm going to as my family and friends about the situation in Luke's case.
