Kristy Lee Cook Spends Her 15 Minutes of Shame By Signing with 19 Entertainment
After signing Davids Cook and Archuleta, 19 Entertainment made a strange choice in their third contestant to sign from the past season: Kristy Lee Cook. Kristy is signed to 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville... yes, Arista Nashville was the same label she was signed to a long time ago before she was dropped... and will release her appropriately named first single, 15 Minutes of Shame, on August 11. I guess that means there will be a sample of Eight Days a Week in the new single. Or she'll be posing in front of a Confederate flag for the single cover. There are so many places to go with this, we hope the song is as deliciously tacky as Kristy (soon to be followed with her second single: God Bless Puppies and This Great Country We Live In). Want to take bets on how much Arista Nashville had to pony up to get Kristy on the show to make money on their patriotic investment?

No surprise here. When Jackson was on Larry King Live with the other 2 stooges he was pimping her and said she'd get signed with a country label. He also said Castro would not be signed and neither would White. Those are the 3 I remember him voicing an opinion on beside his usual public blow jobs of Archie and CRook! If she's going to be competing for label attention with Pickler, then she needs to get to the augmenting surgeon ASAP. Not sure why you would need another plastic, blond country singer in the stable.
As much as I couldn't stand KLC on Idol, I AM SOO FREAKING HAPPY that she beat Cunty and ADB to a record deal!
