captjj...SO TRUE! As I pointed out to Samara on the other thread (a post she has not replied to yet because she's fighting with others at the moment), Simon's responses only indicates that HE didn't have problems with the guy. For anyone who saw Simon on Oprah you'll know that he spends all his time in his posh trailer and doesn't even go inside the building until show time. Since Simon is apparently a very reliable source in Samara's world, there should be no way for Simon to have or not have problems with Daddy Dearest because Simon's never around. Therefore, the video doesn't really prove anything one way or the other.

agreed passtheforbidden, if anything the video indicates that Simon IS aware of others having problems with psychodad.

Samara...I took it to mean that the voters didn't care about the lyric change. I have no doubt they had to pay for the copyright infringement. That's how the music industry works. Lil' Davey singing that without permission was, in fact, a crime.

David sang it in rehearsal for the producers, though. Don't you think they would've told him to cut it out? As much as I like David... I think he'd probably implode before breaking any kind of rule. And before you say his dad forced him anyway, man, that would be stressful!--but he didn't seem stressed during his performance, and sang that line with ease/no hesitation.
