David Cook's Album Pulled from Amazon

After David Cook sold tons of copies of his album "Analog Heart" on Amazon.com this past week, the album has mysteriously disappeared from the site. Actually, it's not mysterious at all. David can't sell his own music while on the show, an always-in-place Idol rule. The only people who got around this were Constantcrap Maroulis and Chris Sligh, whose ex-bands sold the music using the workaround that the singers were no longer members of the band. David Cook was the last non-plant in the competition, but the fact that he is being pimped so heavily at this point and pulling stunts like this makes us wonder if he's more planty than we expected. Though the article gets a good jab in at Carly: "That girl always looked like her head was about to explode when she was singing." So true. So true.

That's a different David Cook -- a jazz musician -- who had the misfortune of getting a couple of one star reviews simply for being the wrong musician. I like how Amazon covered their own asses by posting this disclaimer, but left the unfair bad reviews. I feel sorry for the guy.

Interesting. I guess the only non-plant now is Jason "High as a Kite" Castro.

P.S.: I guess David stopped shooting up heroine after this picture was taken? Honestly, this picture makes him look [more] horrible [than he already is]!

Forget what the article sez about Cunty. I LMAO at what they had to say about OUR darling, Brooke:

"Jason Castro isn't much of a vocalist – cute, but not much of a vocalist. Syesha Mercado is too cutesy by half. And...Brooke White...where to even start with Brooke?... the baldfaced liar who claimed Tuesday was the first time she's flubbed a song and had to start again (it wasn't. She did the same things with 'Let it Be')... and who always looks like the love of her life is leaving her for another and she's saying "It's OK. Just GO! I just want YOU to be happy! All that matters is YOUR HAPPINESS!" before she goes off to join a convent. She drives me bananas."

How about that picture? How old was David Cook when he got married, 12? At least he was young enough to not have to rock the combover.

And that wife of his looks a little scary, like a major Bridezilla. She probably just got finished beating the caterer to death with her bouquet for serving chicken to a guest who ordered the fish!

The biggest problem they had with David selling his album is they weren't getting a cut.

I don't blame David, it was a good idea. I can see where he was coming from. Let's imagine the conversation:

Idol Rep: Uhmm David, you know you aren't supposed to be selling your music while the shows still on, right?

David: Is that still a rule? I figured they changed it because I saw Carly, Kristie and Brooke's albums on sale at the site.

Idol Rep: Well, ... yes, but the rights to that music are owned by someone else, we can't force them to stop selling it.

David: soooo, if I gave the rights to another record company, I could sell the albums?

Idol rep: Huh? Oh .. uhmm No NO. If you have been signed in the past by another record company you are ineligible for the show, We'd have to send you home.

David: But uhhh I'm the only contestant left that hasn't previously signed, or connected to the shows people.

Idolrep: and we'd like to keep it that way. It's very complicated.

David: Screw you. I want a payoff to keep quiet.

... I don't know, I imagine something like that.

Ew - thanks for the link if only so I can try to fathom why this woman, Ann Powers, is so far up O'Planty's ass Here's a quote:

I expect my drubbing of Brooke in the face of Carly’s departure will get some hate mail. But I have to stand up for the woman who showed the most passion, the strongest need to sing, of any contestant this season. I’ll confess, now that it doesn’t matter any more, that the very qualities others hate in Carly make her admirable to me.

Carly understands psychic darkness. She shows her humanity, but never apologizes for it. She has a sexual side. She loves to rock and to push her voice to the limit. Her ruling emotion is fury, not bashfulness. Carly Smithson is not a princess. She is a queen. I hope the pop world still allows her some corner in which to rule.

So desperation is now passion? Psychic darkness? Is that a Wiccan thing? Her ruling emotion is fury? Why is that good? The strongest need to sing? Don't you mean the strongest need to take a dump on stage?

Carly is a queen? I always thought she was a guy in drag...

Honestly, this writer has to be getting paid by someone. Or on crack. I mean, no one in their right mind would like O'Planty, would they? It's like liking Hitler. Or Ronald McDonald. You know, things that are evil.

Well maybe the writer is one of the 300 people that have bought Carly's album.

I wonder if all these people that say Carly is so great have bothered to check out her album. Why weren't they fans of her the first time around? If Carly's fan base is so huge now because of Idol, shouldn't her old record be selling like crazy now? She only has 20 user reviews on Amazon.
