rednecks can come from anywhere, the confederate flag represents the states of the confederacy...if you don't hail from one of those states the message that is inferred if you display a confederate flag tends to be taken as a symbol of bigotry.

Ha! I apologize. Seriously.

I just couldn't figure it out... but the purposely lengthy dictionary-style explanation was a little over-the-top. You could have just told me that the poster's name was "AzNick," left it at that, I would've gotten it, and your insult wouldn't necessarily have been "ruined."

Nonetheless, I feel rather dumb for not noticing.

Yeah, but then the response was funny, so we both win. Woohoo!

"It also didn't help that Paula Abdul, the serving wench, had been caught licking spilled spiced rum out of the cracks in the galley floor, her voracious tongue slowly eroding a large hole in the bottom of the ship."

Genius.

You are extremely smart, I see. I love smart people.

Seriously, people are making a big deal out of this confederate flag thing, maybe that's because she is culturally attached to it in a way and does not completely comprehend that some people are offended by it.

Of course if you are African American, you would and should be offended by it but you seem to ignore the fact that she was the resident Chicken Head.

And I still would do her.

Southerners can be attached to the "Stars & Bars" without necessarily being racist as a point of Southern pride, although even Southern support of the "Stars & Bars" is frequently racist. Northerners, such as Oregonians, cannot legitimately have Southern pride, and support of the "Stars & Bars" pretty much denotes racism. (P.S. to KKK: living in TN does not qualify one as a Southerner)

but you're gay though. She's a girl. Since you're gay you wouldn't want to have sexual relations with her. Own it dude, own it.

Oregon is liberal because of Portland and Salem alone. I live in Selma actually and Southern Oregon and Northern California are much much more conservative. That's what part of the whole 'Jefferson state' thing was about...poor representation. There are millions of rednecks around here.

And if anyone cares, Kristy hasn't lived in Oregon since she graduated high school.
