Jordin Sparks' Career in Danger, May Never Sing the Same Way Again
Here's the story we were hinting at the other day. Jordin Sparks apparently has such bad vocal chord damage that it may permanently affect her voice. It's not just a few shows that have been cancelled... she may never sing the same way again. Looks like 19Entertainment needs to really think about what they're doing to push these singers so hard that they may have ruined a naive, hopeful singer's career at age 18.

That's horrible. Even more reason to dislike 19E. They throw these mostly inexperienced singers into these grueling schedules for their own financial gain, without thinking of the consequences on the singers. Didn't Kelly Clarkson also suffer some vocal trouble for a while?

Yes, Kelly Clarkson had problems too. She had major damage to her vocal cords and tons of problems. They just push too hard without providing the proper training!

Come on, people! I am getting really tired of all the negativity around here. News like this comes out and truly rocks the foundation of the pop industry, and all you people can say is "Oh no, her career is probably over" or "Wow, this sucks for her, why did they push her so hard?" Can't we please just try to look at this in a positive light?
Maybe Jordin's vocal chords will be seriously damaged, and her voice will never sound the same again, but in a good way. Have you ever thought of it like that? Maybe her voice will no longer sound like a goat being tortured. Maybe this injury will add some needed grit to her previously lame, Disney cartoon-ish voice. Maybe she'll come out of this like a star reborn, with a smokey, throaty growl that could only be rivaled by that of Amanda Overmyer. Then, the two will unite and perform the most awesome duet of "Proud Mary" since Ike & Tina, uniting America and the world with the majestic sounds of these two mighty rock 'n' roll mamas!

You're probably right about her voice sounding better, but it's has to affect Jordin personally some way and where her frustrations lie.
Either way, I hope she feels better soon so she can carry on what she loves doing most!
