Naomi Judd Talks about David Archuleta's Awful Stage Dad

Wow. I'm not a David A. fan, really, but, that is quite sad. I did some extensive research and I found out the reason David A. did a crash and burn on his top 12 performance, "We Can Work It Out", was because his father hollered at him for his singing and made him cry. Other reports say his father has denied him water during auditions. He also seems to have cornered Tiffany Evans, the winner of Star Search (she was only 10) telling her she would lose to David and tried to force her to drink milk before her performance to wreck her voice. He was banned there, and, he seems to not be on the good side with the AI producers as he seems to be absent from the crowd lately and replaced with other family members. What a dick. Poor kid.

I'm re-watching the results show and when Ryan asked David Cook to swap with Syesha; David A. watched them both slowly and as Syesha walked by he awkwardly raised his hand murmured, "H-Hi..." this is not normal. David A. is socially awkward, and yes, I think this stuff is beaten and programmed into him and that was a little desperate cry for help. Why would he just say Hi to Syesha randomly as she walks by, scared herself, possibly about to be eliminated?

Wow, I too am not an Archie, but I feel sorry for the kid, too. Naomi does not mince words in this interview. She calls David's dad "the worst stage dad ever". And he needs to "back off" and leave David alone. Love her! I would also love for David not to win. Not for his sake, of course. Who knows how bad the beating would be. But I would squeal with glee to see the look on daddy dearests face if Ryan announced "David, you....are....going home". =0) But since I am convinced he was picked to be this years winner, I have a thought to ponder. When lil David wins, gets his cd made, and it flops, will daddy be personally calling everyone in the US and threatening us to buy it, or else?

erm what David A. did was briefly touch Syesha on her arm and said "ooh Syesha..." cos he knew that once they switched David Cook to the other group, Syesha would be in the bottom 3. I'm no fan of David A. but he's not that abnormal.

Actually winning AI might probably be the only way dad-chuleta will back off. David's record company/management will be forced to step in to protect their latest investment from crashing and burning. On the other hand if David loses, stagedad will be more involved than ever in trying to cash in on his son.

Who cares about jeff arcuhleta he's ot trying to be the next idol david is my best friend is on idol this year david cook & there roommates & david said david's dad is no where near david right now. So that was then this is now all are really fucked up.
