Michael Johns Takes a Shot at Sanjaya

The Aussie song-stealing douche, one of our least favorite contestants this season, decided to take a different approach to his exit interviews. Instead of being classy like Amanda Overmyer or pathetic like David Hernandez, he just pulled a Carly Smithson and insulted VFTW's favorite papaya Sanjaya. In an E! Online interview, Michael said, "There was no laughingstock. There were no jokers...They wanted it to be a singing competition instead of a TV show with the controversy of Sanjaya." First off, Sanjaya was not a laughingstock. He was awesome. Secondly, almost all of the contestants this year are too boring to inspire any kind of emotion. I mean who feels one way or another about Syesha? Michael was also going to sing "Vision of Love" next week on American Idol. On second thought, that would have been hilariously bad. Can we vote him back just for one week?

I wonder if American Idols ratings will go up after the shock of MJ getting booted? I am sure thier thinking it to themselves. I have a feeling that the ratings wil go up.It was surprising how he can say something about Sanjaya and not get heck for it. I really was not socked at all and how can it be comapred to Daughtry when lesss people watched.

My sense of humor is just fine. I guess some people never get tired of train-wreck humor and some do. I thought Sanjaya was pretty funny at first, but after a while I just got tired of him. (If I'm gonna bother to watch a show about singing, I'd like to hear some good singing, y'know?) And then, near the end of his run on AI, I actually felt bad for him.

Maybe you thought Sanjaya was entertaining, but you can't see that the judges and producers were making a fool out of him and enjoying it? You have to know that he was put on that show for the sole purpose of generating ratings and controversy. By voting to keep him on the show, you were helping them out. I guess depending on how you look at it, that's kind of funny.

Michael was also going to sing "Vision of Love" next week on American Idol.

I find it amusing that Mariah Carey is going to be a mentor when all the contestants are ever told is to not sing her songs because they will be compared to her. This show is getting more hysterically hypocritical every week. You gotta fucking love it.

Uh, 90% of these people are going to go back to waiting tables after the show is over. It utimately doesn't matter if the less talented ones stay a few weeks more than they should.

Ha ha. Sanjaya will be remembered, but Michael was voted off early enough that he won't be in a few months.

Sanjaya commited the crime of not taking the show seriously, and for that he should be applauded. People take this show too seriously, when ultimatley when it doesn't matter.
