No, Carly FAKED knowing that she was a goner. She actually knew that she wasn't, hence why her behavior was so forced. Her singing is better than her acting (and that, kids, is what we call daming with faint praise).

What's been interesting in reading other forums is that this is somehow Carly and Syesha's fault--that ADB's elimination was part of a plan to save them.

I think [hope] we will see a backlash against the two of them, which hopefully translates to keeping KKK safe for another week or two.

Still if next week is Mariah Carey songs [gag] that theme is pretty much geared to Syesha and Carly--so getting booted at that point would be surprising.

I think Brooke is the next elimination--it's a girl's turn, and she hasn't turned in a good performance for weeks. I don't think she can handle the range of any Mariah song.

It will be interesting seeing Mariah try to say something nice about these people who will probably all butcher her songs. Mariah impresses me as much more of a bitch than Gwen Stefani, who I thought was a total c*nt last year.

Has anyone confirmed that the theme really is Mariah songs next week, and not some related theme like 'Billboard #1s'?

I agree. And I hate to say "oh, it's fixed" because people will just say I'm whining because I was totally obsessed with the guy. But, I've felt like some fishy business has gone on MANY times over the years on this show. This is just the most unbelievable. If you read all the blogs and shit about AI, Michael has a huge fan base. NO ONE gives a shit about Syesha. Yet, we're supposed to believe she got more votes than him? And everyone is sick to death of Carly, especially after she tortured and mutilated that beautiful Queen song. SHE even expected to go. Fuck the producers. Why don't they just give Davey Chapstick the win right now and let all the other contestants get on with their lives.

And Michael - call me for God's sake. Angry sex is the best.

I truly thought Syesha was going home. She just hasn't shown us anything new. She has an incredible voice -- just like a million voices we've already heard. I think she will continue to be down in the bottm unless she shows us something new.

Your VFTW girl Kristy has had three solid performances in a row, including the last which Simon said she looked like a star. Does this sound like the candidate the VFTW should be plugging. I think you should move on to Syesha.

I'm surprised how many posters on this board actually believe that it matters how well or poorly the contestants perform each week. I'll bet less than 2% of all votes are cast by people who watch the show then vote for whoever they think sang best that night. No no no Tonto. People already know who their favorite is and that's who they vote for. Maybe, just maybe, they have 2 favorites and decide between them based on the night's performance.

So... at this stage of the competition the real question is who will benefit from Aussie-boy leaving. My take is that David Cook will pick up the lion's share of Michael John fans. More importantly, I think Sayesha will pick up the fewest so she is now in the most strategic jeopardy - regardless of how anyone performs next week.

Then, when Sayesha goes I'm thinking that Kristy picks up the fewest of her fans so that's when the jig is up for our Kristy Lee.

My prediction for the final 5 - based on strategy rather than performance - David, David, Carly, Jason and Brooke.

Mark my words, you heard it here first. I'm sure we'd all be interested in anyone else's analysis.
