i just don't want her to sing anymore. ever.

you have to get coached on how to perform with a mic? that's not very rockstar... oh the realities of the music industry....

and when that line when she's singing came up "i'm gonna master fate"....
i think you can guess what i thought she was gonna say.

she really isn't that bad. but she the only thing she's good at is being unremarkable.

So, am I wrong in not hating Carly anymore?

I think the turning point for me was last week where she had to go on TV and say she's not pregnant--and by extension, essentially stating 'no, I'm just getting fat' So, now not only does she have to get her songs ready from week to week, but she also has to be self-conscious about what she's eating and her appearance. If I were in her shoes, I'd be incredibly unhappy.

What this clip does emphasize is how much time and effort WAS put into making her a success the first time, and makes the album bombing even that much more astounding. It doesn't seem like they just put the album out and let it go. They clearly put money into stylists, choreographers, photographers, appearances and musicians as well as directors for the videos and clips--on top of all the people it took to actually produce the album.

I still feel that she has already had her chance, with a bigger promotional push than nearly anyone would ever get. But I am not so gung ho on the 'Carly hate' at the moment, given the extra microscopic lens that has been put on her.

"Popopzao" is infinitely more catchy and kitschy than "Master Fate," or whatever it's called. Hell, "I Am Your Brother" is more compelling.
