David Hernandez is Not Ashamed of His Past... at the Pizza Bistro

PageSix has a post-boot interview with David Hernandez where he says he's not ashamed of his stripper past. David is quoted as saying, “I think America is smart enough by now to know that people’s personal lives should not influence their musical career.” People's personal lives ALWAYS affect their careers. *cough* Britney Spears *cough* David also says that the producers knew about his stripping all along (duh) and that he's “not ashamed of anything in my past.” Past? This was like 5 months ago. You were doing it up until you had to leave for Hollywood week on Idol. That's not your past, that's like yesterday. Oh well, his delusions about getting a record deal are even funnier, but hey, maybe America likes closeted gay stripper pizza bistro workers more than we think! Maybe this whole thing has just taught him to stop lying for no reason at least.

I honestly think that (with the exception of some rednecks) nobody gives a damn about the fact that he is gay. The point is that he was a stripper, which is a laughable profession in itself. Combine that with him lying about where he worked, and apparently staying in the closet about being gay, while he dances and acts like a total flamer, and it becomes a complete joke. (Certainly did not take this revelation for me to think he is flamingly gay)

Similar problem with Danny Noriega. I doubt it matters to anyone that he likes to have sex with men, what makes him so ridiculous is that he acts like a drag queen. It is utterly unnecessary, and only feeds into stereotypes about gay people, to behave in such a manner, and imho these people deserve to be ridiculed for it.

If these people were simply themselves, and honest about their preferences, jobs, etc. rather than lying or behaving like drag queen morons, they would undoubtedly be well respected.

David really thinks he can make a record deal - remember all the great comments he got from the judges?

Simon saying he expected David H to make it into the top 3? Paula saying he had a beautiful controlled voice?

If you heard those comments - and you looked that good, wouldn't you think some record company would pick you up??

That's why David H is milking his 15 minutes of fame for as long as it can last. And something will come out of it - he's always going to be remembered as that handsome guy from AI who was a male stripper.

People who are remembered do well - do well all the time.
remember that. He'll be signed to a deal soon. Watch and see.

Ahem. I'm sure it was a pizza bistro.

After all, I'm sure there is a call for pizza among the patrons to enjoy while they watch the show...they really could serve pizza, so that makes it a pizza bistro. Pizza bistros may possibly also have live entertainment, again no mention of what type.

No mention of how the waiters serving the pizza are attired (or lack thereof).

Details, details, details...

Hello! I personally have friends representing G,L,B and T, and I don't give a rat's ass that he's been a stripper, honest. I do give a rat's ass that he was definitely deceptive about it, and THAT is the news here. We don't care that he was a stripper -- we care that he covered it up (funny play on words, there!)

Gay-hating is stomped on around here, and with good reason.

A lot of singers have been signed. Whether it would be a commercial success is another (See Carly the Plant). Plus his demographics became smaller with all the pictures all over the place.
