David Hernandez is Not Ashamed of His Past... at the Pizza Bistro

I have to agree that once a contestant is voted off, the hatin' really should stop. Hey I love this site, I read it daily and always punch the dial for the VFTW picks. But if you are really all about trying to keep the worsters on the show, then what is the point of beatin' on the contestants we managed to oust? We did the job - shouldn't we leave them alone to their post-idol fate now?

Don't spoil a fun thing by turning into a hate site. Post-idol beating just makes this site look malicious and cruel, with no purpose. Let's stick to the original intent - to keep the worst, and most horrendously entertaining, contestants on the show as long as possible!

Honestly, I think what you do here is pretty hilarious. I understand why you are doing it. American Idol has gotten more and more obviously staged since the beginning. The fact that Carly had a record deal before AI is really maddening. Having said that. I'm very irritated at this whole David Hernandez Stripper thing. It makes your site look homophobic and bigoted. I mean I'm really not sure what you are trying to accomplish with this stuff. Are we all suppose to be shocked and appalled that David was a stripper at a gay club. And just to clarify there are plenty of straight men who work at gay clubs, because they can make more money. But that's beside the point. I refer back to my previous statement. Is it really a shock that in the year 2008, in a free society, that a man can be a stripper. I'm just confused as to why this gets such shock value. If you are simply trying to state that he "lied" I raise two points, 1) I don't recall the show when the producers or the judges asked David about his past as a stripper. I mean if you are going to call him a liar than surely you have proof right. You have the episode of AI when he was asked about his life as a stripper and he lied? I can’t seem to remember that episode. 2) Is it not feasible that a man can possibly have more than one job? I mean he couldn't have worked at a Pizza Bistro AND a strip club? Funny, cause I don't know about you but I have had about 4 or 5 jobs in my life so far. But I guess I'm the only one. On a smaller note, anything that isn't in the present time is the past. So that includes "like yesterday" as you so wonderfully put it. That's just you know "like" logic. Anyway, that concludes my little tirade. Having a brother who is gay, a best friend who is also gay, and a friend who is straight and works at a gay club, I just thought you might want to know how offensive you're making this. I think maybe sticking to the voting, the actual reason why you started this little web site, is something you should consider.

I highly doubt we'll be seeing a hit record out by David Hernandez any time in the near future.

I think Lzze23's comment above is one of the more lucid and coherent comments I've seen on this board, and I agree 100%.

The problem with all this Hernandez-bashing is that it's destroying the credibility (and fun) of this site. Like Lzze23, I totally get the whole VFTW concept, and I'm on board with it. But it's now turning ugly, and into something I wouldn't want to be a part of.

Simon is always yammering on and on about "relevance". So to echo that concept, I submit that if VFTW wants to remain relevant, they need to stop diluting the site with illogical, nonsensical, malicious attacks with no validity.

Hey I get the idea of exposing plants, revealing scandals, and catching contenstants in bald-faced lies. But this whole David H stripper thing just doesn't qualify, and is coming across as puerile, mean-spirited homophobia.
