The David Hernandez Gay Stripper Rumors Seem to be True
We posted a rumor this week that David Hernandez used to be a stripper at a club named Dick's Cabaret. But now he's trying to play it straight on Idol and pretend that he likes women (in an interview with the Washington DC Fox affiliate, David asked if there were any single ladies around). Come on, David. Learn something from Danny Noriega and just be out and proud. Since we posted the article, we've gotten nothing but confirmation posts from people coming out of the woodwork, and we learned his stripper name was Caden:

AZBornAndRaised- "These "rumors" are 100% TRUE! I personally saw him at Dick's Caberet where his boyfriend actually stripped, too. Both of them are totally hot!"
PhoenixBoi- "I will 100% confirm this rumor is true too! I met him at Burn about a year ago when he worked there. I also encountered him at Dick's Cabaret about 6 months ago. “Caden” gave me one of the best lap dances ever and I will never forget it. He said he was bi, but I could care less."
admdavid- "Yes, he is/was a stripper at Dick's. He has a very hot boyfriend. He's sung karaoke at BS West with his very hot boyfriend looking on. I've run into him at Amsterdam and Charlie's before, too."

You never know... I know Danny loves clubbing with his friends, and he even said "clubbing and stripping" in one of his myspace comments.

Okay, as a gay guy myself, I don't get what the big deal is.
Just because he works at a gay bar doesn't mean he's gay. I know straight guys that work at gay bars as security and as bar tenders. Not all straight guys are uptight and worried what everyone will think.

Just because he has a boyfriend doesn't mean... well, yeah, it kinda does.
What's messed up IF he IS gay is trying to play himself off as straight. Why not just be who you are? Danny doesn't hide it... not that he could. But still, Danny's over the top queeniness is part of his charm. If David is gay then he could actually break new ground as being a *gasp* normal gay guy.
Nah, David is too boring for that type of shlock. Maybe I'll try out as a normal gay guy in a few years if I'm forced to watch a bunch of closetcases prance around for the next two years.

Demolished, you hit it right on the head there. David was out and proud and is now hiding firmly in the back of the closet for Idol. He's so deeply entrenched he had to push Tom Cruise and John Travolta out of the way. That's what angers me - what a hypocrite and wuss. Shame on him, be out and proud, don't hide it!

I have to concur with this. Mr D pointed out David's dance moves to me on Wed night and since then, whenever there is a group shot I have been looking for him and sure enough he delivers the spazz. During Robbie's sing out he was actually head banging. I am fascinated by it now and its completely taking over when I watch the show and I find I am always searching for him to see what he is doing.
