I used to be a die hard AI fan...for the first few seasons...
Now that they're bringing in "discovered" talent and turning away untapped talent like Josiah, I'm no longer interested... the only reason I keep watching is to see the large and in charge impact VFTW is having on the results... it's about time that the big wigs get a wrench in their plans...NICE JOB!!

Dave, I have to admit that I get some SERIOUS Homicidal Ideations when I read about AI's "houseplant problems" and I don't see you and/or VFTW credited as a source, much less THE Source of Sources. In all seriousness, you and other folks (e.g., SMARTIE, STP, INSANE, ETC.) have produced some OUSTANDING investigative reporting/journalism. Not crediting you and/or VFTW is more than craven and cowardly "media" outlets being AI co-conspirators; it clearly demonstrates that these bitches (a la the White House press corps during W's reign) to be LAZY AND INEFFECTIVE HACKS.
Pathetic.

Why no mention of Nigel's comments? He seems pretty unconcerned about this whole thing:
: "This is something that comes up for some reason every year," said Lythgoe. "This year [it is], 'Oh, they're all professionals!' Kelly Clarkson had [previously had] a contract [before Idol]. From Year 1, all we say is you've got to be out of contract now. But every year there's been somebody that's had a professional contract or even had an album out there. So no it doesn't bother us in the slightest." - Nigel
"The rules of the competition state it's if you do not have a contract now. Goodness me, if Elvis Presley came back and was out of contract -- and was able to participate through [Idol's] age [restrictions] -- then he would be in the competition. Nobody said this is an amateur competition. This is something that people are making up for themselves. It doesn't matter if you've had a professional contract. Kelly Clarkson had a professional contract. Bo Bice had a deal. [Taylor Hicks] has got records that are out there. This is nothing new." - Nigel
That should pretty much settle it, no?
