| Haha... you make me laugh.
I understand perfectly what this site's point is. What I don't understand is why you people enjoy it so much.
And as far as reality goes, I understand that, too, because I experience it. Unlike you people, American Idol (or ruining American Idol, for that matter) is not my entire life.
Think you're smarter than I am if you want. I'm satisfied with the knowledge that you aren't. So you can believe whatever you want to. |

| Dear TySoxfan:
Ha Ha...you make ME laugh, too!
I, however, am laughing AT you...you, on the other hand, seem to be laughing with the voices in your head...
So, you say that you understand this site's point but you don't understand why VFTW supporters...well, support it.
Now, TySoxfan, just because you're new here (at least publicly), I'm going to spare you the Ass Spanking Special and just ask you to read more posts on this site before you come back here feigning this much ignorance.
I agree with you regarding the idiots who worship AI in a sick and twisted mastubatory fashion. You state that you're not one of these pathetic idiots (and yet...here you are...on this site...again and again...sniping at VFTW supporters...hmmmm...sounds suspicious...).
However, even IMPLYING that VFTW supporters are making this site "our entire lives" is...well...pretty stupid. When one examines posts from VFTW haters and VFTW supporters, it is CLEARLY evident that VFTW supporters have rich and rewarding lives...which bugs the living fuck out of folks like you. VFTW haters...well, their bile speaks for them in volumes.
Yeah, TySoxfan, I am smarter than you. VFTW supporters are smarter than you. It doesn't make you a bad or worthless individual...that would be mean and elitist of folks to come to that conclusion.
You do, however, sound a little...disturbed...
So...I guess this is au revoir...or, is it a bientot? Your decision...

| I would love nothing more than to ignore American Karaokefest. I would love to ignore it right off the f**king planet so television could make room for something more worthwhile (wait...this is Fox we're talking about...).
Unfortunately, when I read my newspaper, there it is. When I watch my favorite news program, there it is. When I am online, there it is. When I go to work and converse with my co-workers, there it is.
Thing is, it's pretty much everywhere I look. I won't even mention spin-offs, predecessors (personally, I believe if it were not for 'Star Search', none of this would exist--oh, wait, they actually play instruments and perform their own songs) or Idol Rewind, where we have to relive this lameness all over again during AI's (welcome) off-season.
AI is pretty much this stink that's tainted much of what I do in a normal day, so any resource that helps eradicate it--well, more power to it. AI has invaded unwanted into my life--now I'm serving my tiny slice of payback.
Carry on. |

| All that, and yet you found this site, became a member and posted here...
You remind me of someone who posts on a message board for a while and then leaves a message letting everyone know you are leaving - hoping to find someone who cares...
Well... my philosophy is if you're gonna go - just go already... don't sit there belly-aching about having to leave and expect people to give a damn.
And if you don't like American Idol, don't watch it. It really IS that simple...

| I loved last year's show, for the guests, not the contestants. Prince did 3 songs! Mary J. Blige sang over Elliott. McTata's with Meatloaf. Al Jarreau. Burt Bachrach & Dionne Warwick. Taylor getting a lap dance from Toni Braxton and the look on his family's face! The unveiling of the Clay Aiken makeover. These were classic moments.
Based on the lameness of Idol Smokes Crack, I am expecting any such goodness with this finale.

| Why would you think it's anyone's entire life?
Aside from Dave and the moderators, no one is on here all day, or even every day. I haven't logged in since Sunday and the only reason I did today was because of the Drunk Chick's accident. I just had to see what folks were saying about it.

| I can't imagine Blake winning, but with the support of this website - who knows?! I think you guys add an interesting dimension to the competition and it's fun to see who you pick each time. The talented singers will get contracts no matter what, so it really doesn't matter who wins (to me at least).
Here's a video about Blake and his adoring fans back home. You can actually embed ("mash") this to your site. There's also one about Jordin in TheNewsRoom too - so you could put that video here too.

We've learned that after the show on Wednesday, the coin was flipped to find out who would sing first. Blake won, but decided to let the producers or Jordin pick. The winner almost always sings second, so the Wookie picked the second spot. This is hilarious, Blake doesn't even want to win, because he doesn't want to be attached to Idol for the rest of his life. This means he will go all out to mess up big time this week and provide us with some great VFTW victories! It also means that we have to help him win to make Idol mad, since everyone involved with the show is salivating over a Jorbacca win.
