| I think that his performance of Roxanne was an attempt to throw the show and / or to show the judges up for not listening during the performance. It was laaaame. Bet he did it better in rehearsal. |

So what's the theme of the final week - is there one? How many songs are sung? It's been years since I've watched Idol, and I've only seen the Fantasia season of American Idol.
I watched the clip of Melinda being told she was voted off, this morning. Wow, Blake was totally shut out by the girls, they were too busy congratulating and consoling each other thru that long, drawn out BS they call a results show, and he was ignored.

| I say meh to the whole thing. It's a no-win situation. Either the wookie wins and gets totally pimped out for a couple of years before she pulls a Lindsey Lohan and screws herself up before she hits 21 (or start pushing her views on us which will turn us off cuz we want our singers to sing and do stupid shit), or we get the Beatboxing Moron who will churn out one album and forever plague us by making cameos with rap artists while trying to whore that one last album sale because he needs to make rent this month. And all those who want to see the Skunk prancing around the stage with Eminem raise your hands. *Scans crowd* Yeah, didn't think so. Either way they'll be forgotten by next year's AI tryout rounds, and we'll be reminded of them when they show up at about this time next year as "guest stars" and do their biggest preformance since they left the damn show. And probably do it horribly.
I've made it a point never to watch the last show. If someone can give me a good reason, I'll do it, but I have yet to hear one. There's only two AI winners who have any sort of carrer now, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, and let's face it, we've got the first winner and the one who was smart and went into country music, and I'd go into what I think of MOST people who listen to country music, but I don't have the energy.

| i have a question..and i'm just curious. if melinda hadn't been voted off, and the finale had been melinda and jordin, who would VFTW have deemed the "worst"? or would they just hang up their coats and wait till next season? i'm just honestly curious, that's all. |

| I would hope it would have been Shrek, as Wookie is the Chosen One and TPTB want her to win, she's got support from the show sponsors.

So let's say she did go to L.A. She comes home and immediately enters the Fox10 Arizona Idol which starts two weeks after the L.A. auditions. Fox 10 by the way is not a Fox affiliate. It is one of only about 25 or 30 stations actually owned by Fox. Just coincidental of course.
The week before the contest even ends, she pops up at the opening game of the Phoenix Cardinals to sing the National Anthem. Of course, the game is carried on Fox and by the same local but corporate owned Fox Station. The following Friday she is declared the winner of Arizona Idol, and sometime during the next week she flies out to Seattle and auditions for the same producers once again. It is never mentioned on TV that she didn't have to go through the regular audition process in Seattle leading most people to believe she won only the plane ride. I don't even know if they have even mentioned the Ford Fusion that she won. I guess that might not look so good coast to coast when they are one of your sponsors.
And she can try and pass off those Simon and Randy pictures all she wants to as being one of those things, but your average person sitting in the audience doesn't get an audience with Randy and Simon.

We've learned that after the show on Wednesday, the coin was flipped to find out who would sing first. Blake won, but decided to let the producers or Jordin pick. The winner almost always sings second, so the Wookie picked the second spot. This is hilarious, Blake doesn't even want to win, because he doesn't want to be attached to Idol for the rest of his life. This means he will go all out to mess up big time this week and provide us with some great VFTW victories! It also means that we have to help him win to make Idol mad, since everyone involved with the show is salivating over a Jorbacca win.
