Well it couldn't last forever! Great work everyone on helping Sanjaya make the top 7, he's now the all time VFTW record holder. But as classic Worsters know, we always move on to someone new. Who will it be? Phil? Chris? Someone else? Sound off on the message board and let us know your opinion. We'll have an informal poll up soon to see what the general consensus is. It's so sad to lose our VFTW king, but we can't stop bugging the producers, they'd like that too much! So stay tuned and let's remember how much fun it was to help keep Sanjaya in the running for so long! Time to move on to Idol Gives Back, where the producers get corporations to donate money yet donate nothing out of their own ridiculously huge paychecks!

Oh poor little misguided potty mouth KatieBiaa, you are oh so wrong! We won in so many ways! The power behind VFTW has made great strides in uncovering the huge unfairness that is at the very heart of the evil AI. Dave with his amazing band of rebels, have not only kept a very entertaining young man in the competition for the past several weeks, he has created a movement that throws caution to the wind and dares to laugh in the face of the clueless AI worshipers! So I say GREAT JOB to all of those who cast even one vote for our loveable Sanjaya! I lift my Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper and toast to all of you for making my season 6 AI experience enjoyable. Bring on season seven! Oh and side note, my little boy is autistic and for some unknown and unexplainable reason has connected with AI since season 2. I have had to endure the torture of the AI singers in concert since the likes of Clay and Ruben. But for the first time I can honestly say that I am really looking forward to this summers offering due to the always entertaining Sanjaya. So start growing out that hair Sanjaya, I expect to see a new and radical hairstyle from you this summer.

I don't know if any of you noticed this last night or not, but I think it bears mentioning... I voted for Sanjaya over 600 times on my land line... and you know that normally the male voice who answers and says "Thanks for voting for Contestant 3, Watch American Idol, sponsored by Ford and AT&T wireless" sounds like he's in his forties or so? It's been the same voice for all six seasons. WELL, last night, about every fifth call or so, the voice was TOTALLY DIFFERENT... it sounded like a man in his early 30's, and with a very over-modulated radio-announcer's inflection to it, saying the same thing... is it possible that the producers had calls routed to another server that didn't count? I'm going to listen again this next week when I vote multiple times and if I don't hear that alternate voice again, then I think we might have been screwed by the Trinity Of Simons (Cowell, Lythgoe & Fuller)... if they DID do something to screw with the votes, wouldn't that be amazing if somehow the story broke wide open? As for my vote for our next candidate, I'm actually leaning towards LaKisha... she's been getting more and more spotty week after week, and those horrible boob-showing dresses she always wears are hysterically ugly... Just my two cents... I'm depressed, too... :( Every tear of Sanjaya's was like a dagger in my sensitive heart... if he comes out with an album I will SO be buying it for everyone for Christmas... :) love, J-Mo :)

Heh. I'm not sure I care too much anymore, I find everyone else boring. I guess I'd pick the guy that said "nasally is a form of singing", just in the hope that he'd stay on and keep performing badly and then follow it up with more really dumb comments. :) I know exactly what Sanjaya should do, and if I had the venture capital for it I'd call him up and do it myself. He needs to get a digital video camera, a hairstylist for some of those funky hairdo's he's had, and he needs to... record a DVD of performances of tame pop songs sung for kids. Think about it a sec - those godawful Kids Bop CD's, the ones where kids sing current pop/rock songs, do very well among the same demographic that AI does well with (kids and tweens). They don't care if you sing off-key like Sanjaya. And a DVD of "music videos" for kids starring Sanjaya would let him be himself, funky hair and outfits and off-key singing and everything. Like the Olsen twins videos, they could go direct to DVD and be sold in the Wal-Mart family section. This could be his niche. If I had the money to produce it myself I would. :) And I'd bet money he would outsell whoever winds up winning this turdfest. But it'd have to be done fast to capitalize on his popularity. Then I'd send Simon a copy of the 500,000th DVD sold with a personalized note from Sanjaya and signed Fauxhawk photo. ;)

I am posting this in the Sanjaya thread because if it is cluttering the board or just a stupid idea then it can just be ignored. But here goes the idea. Sanjaya has been by far one of the most entertaining things on television for a while. Tonight showed that the show was not willing to give him the recognition he deserves so lets start a grassroots movement to do it instead. What I am talking about is that I feel Sanjaya may be Emmy worthy. We know that American Idol puts itself in the running every year so the paper work is probably done and he is included as a member of the cast. The category I am thinking is Primetime Emmy Award for Individual Performance In A Variety Or Music Program. Last year Barry Manilow won this. this year Sanjaya! A valuable ally in this cause would be Tom O'Neill of Goldderby.com that knows everything Emmy and knows how to get the ball rolling. He is also a closet worster from some of the stuff I have read. We have people on this board that could probably make wicked for your consideration ads. Wouldn't that be brilliant if American Idols first Emmy win went to Sanjaya Malakar?

Okay! They are doing a good thing by raising money for charity, but here is a fantastic idea. Why not raise money for the millions of poverty-stricken people in the US, or the homeless people, maybe the poor people still without homes in New Orleans. Yes charity is great and wonderful, but how come we always help out people half way around the world instead of helping the people in our own country with their problems. All AI is trying to do is get more people involved in their show so they can get richer. When Simon or the other judges step up and donate one or just half of their paycheck to the cause, I might get involved.

I guess it's different to have served in the military and to have been there and seen all the horrible living conditions in other countries. Where did you read that they're not contributing to Idol-gives-back? I'm sure your source would be pretty helpful in backing up what you say, buddy. I'm all about a good laugh on this site.. but kinda inappropriate to bash them for putting eyes where most turn their backs. *shrug* and, btw, I think Phil would be an exxxcellent choice for the next vftw. So what is so horrible about that young man? He seems nice and polite, but all you haters out there make it seem like he's so evil. Let me ask you this, those that point fingers at this young man and call him evil when he has done nothing and harmed no one. You folks look in the mirror maybe the horns are in you head. I have never seen so much hate and anger in my life, so many ignorant individuals. Sure the kid isn't a great singer but neither are the others. Not one of these performers are great. Sure the one lady can sing but can't entertain. But everyone else is plain lame, no talent in singing and not one bit entertaining. For Sanjaya though, at least he was entertaining and will probably be the biggest success that AI has ever seen. Maybe not in music but this kid isn't going anywhere. I hope this kid goes far. We need good people to be the role models for your young kids. And what does being in the military have to do with anything? You say go and help with freedom and liberties. Not ours. We are policing the world and the US military are drones for politicians. Join the lemmings and follow them off the edge yourself. I have no respect for those who can't think for themselves. I agree with you 100%. This site is from a bunch of bored college kids who know no better. I, too, cheered loudly when Sanjaya was voted off last night! The boy CANNOT SING. That is not to say that he's a bad person or anything like that, he just cannot sing. This is supposed to be a SINGING competition and not a popularity contest. This site and others like it have turned it into that. While I agree that there are things about the show that need to change, I don't agree with what this site is doing. This site wants to put down about American Idol gives back. I don't see this site doing anything or any kind of charity things with the advertising dollars it generates. This sites quest to get AI off the air is not going to happen. AI is bigger than this site. As long as it is generating FOX money, AI isn't going anywhere. It's not a talent contest.. It's a "how dumb is America this week?" contest. I was MOTIVATED and INSPIRED to vote for Sanjaya just because Simon Cowell said he would take this piece of shit show off the air for good if he won. And WE have too much time on our hands? Give me a break! The die-hard fans of this show have too much time on their hands--one even went on a "16-day-long hunger strike" to oust Sanjaya from the show. And what happened? She made herself look like an idiot. American Idol is a joke, and so are the people that waste their time avidly watching the show. The only reason I was remotely interested in this season was, once again, because Simon Cowell said he would take that pile of cow-shit off the air.
